A Long Rainy Season

This year the early monsoon had brought

unprecedented rainfall to the country.

The Korean word for monsoon season is "jangma".

The rainy season lasted longer than usual.

A long spell of rain caused floods in

various parts of the country.

During the rainy season the dampness

penetrates everything.

But the ground was unaffected by the

long wet weather.

This long spell of rain makes me yearn

for the sunshine.
